Objectives:
  • Students will be introduced to currents issues with regard to the status of First Nations languages in BC.
  • Students will consider the causes of language endangerment, extinction, and sleeping as well as the challenges involved in revitalization.
  • Students will consider broader implications of the meaning of language.
